The most significant of this year’s astrological events takes place on the 19th November 2024!
As Pluto makes its final transition into Aquarius where it will remain until March 8th 2043.
A little context:
Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008.
Pluto takes 248 years to orbit the sun.
The last time it was in Aquarius was all the way back in 1777 – 1797.
These small facts may give you an insight into why this transition is so significant.
We already know that the planets which orbit further away from the sun have more of a collective impact, and those which orbit closer to the sun seem to affect us more on a personal level (think Mercury retrogrades).
However, as we are all connected, each one of us, each creature, all of nature and the earth, the galaxies and the universe….. Here is what we can expect from Pluto in Aquarius:
Pluto is known as lord of the underworld, death and rebirth, the dissolution of old worn out structures (think goddess Kali Ma and her flames burning away the old so that the new can rise from the ashes).
The planet of power, of mystery and sudden transformation.
If you can, cast your mind back to 2008 to acknowledge your journey, your personal growth and development and any recurring lessons or challenges you have experienced since that time.
Now is your invitation to truly let go of old ways of being, outdated patterns and energy that are no longer yours to carry. Whatever feels as if it is holding you back. To uproot from your past, and instead view it as a wise memory.
In spiritual teachings we can work with Pluto through the symbolism of the lotus flower. Which only grows in deep boggy, watery mud – the more fertile the soil, the more beautiful the bloom. The mud represents our challenges, difficulties and the turbulence of life of which we have endured, and how we can use these experiences as a place to grow.
In Japan the practice of Kintsugi, pots which have broken are repaired with liquid gold making them even more beautiful and valuable than they were before. This encapsulates the vibration of Pluto in Aquarius.
As Pluto transitions into Aquarius for the final time until 2043 it will encourage expansion, growth, advancements, spiritual communities and humanitarianism.
Pluto’s magic is all about rebirth and in Aquarius we are given the invitation to really fly – if we can let go of what is weighing us down.
It asks you to trust the whispers of your heart and rely on your inner wisdom.
To ask yourself, what is it that you wish to create and draw into your life, that will grow, blossom and bloom over the next 20 years?
What feels in the truest and highest alignment to your life’s journey? – You know that thing which your whole body moves towards. What really lights you up and gives you a feeling of freedom and expanse?
Pluto invites you to explore and integrate your shadows, and importantly your golden shadows – those beautiful gifts which you have buried deep, in fear of not being good or qualified enough to share them.
Now you are given the opportunity to invite these gifts to shine out into the world around you.
Collectively:
The last time Pluto was in Aquarius the balance of power shifted, it was around the time of the American and then French revolution and the beginning of the industrial revolution.
We are now likely to witness a most welcomed collective transformation away from the Me mentality and into the WE!
So expect:
Shifts in power (more about the people)
Community building
Advancements in technology
New ways of thinking and being
Expansion and growth
And importantly an emphasis on all of us co creating a world which encourages peace, kindness, compassion, understanding and love.
Happy Pluto in Aquarius! As we welcome in this new and exciting era.
